Workplace On-Site Chair Massage

15 minutes makes a big difference...

On site chair massage is a popular and fast growing way to offer the therapeutic benefits of massage to large numbers of people within the busy workplace.

Simple, effective and affordable at only £10 per treatment, this type of therapy can help to significantly reduce stress, tension, RSI and work fatigue - and need not cost the employer a penny.

What does it involve?

Chair

The 15 minute treatment is carried out on a specially designed massage chair, which only requires a small space. The client remains fully clothed at all times and no messy oils are used, making this treatment perfect for a workplace environment. The treatment is tailored to the needs of the client, using of a combination of soft-tissue massage techniques to ease tension; focusing on problem areas such as head, neck and shoulders.

Why workplace massage?

Work related stress is now recognised as a major factor towards absenteeism, low morale and poor performance.

According to the CBI guide to Work-related stress: "Each year in this country there are over half a million instances where work-related stress results in people being absent from work, costing UK employers an estimated £3.7 billion. On average, each stress related absence involves 29 working days lost, a total of 13 million days. This means that work-related stress is now the biggest cause of working days lost through occupational injury and ill health."

According to the UK Health and Safety Executive: "Work-related stress is a major cause of occupational ill health, poor productivity and human error. That means increased sickness absence, high staff turnover and poor performance in your organisation and a possible increase in accidents due to human error."

Regular 15 minute chair massage treatments have been shown to significantly reduce the negative effects of stress whilst helping to improve alertness, performance and general well-being (see research here).
